Kate Moss recovers her iconic pink hair in this nostalgic campaign

Back in 1998, supermodel Kate Moss dyed her hair pink for a week to present Versace’s spring-summer 1999 collection on the catwalk. Kate Moss recovers acclaimed  German photographer Juergen Teller’s “Young Pink Kate” snapshot, the British mannequin’s “look” left an absolutely indelible mark on the fashion industry (despite being ephemeral in nature). And that’s probably why Marc Jacobs has decided to resurrect Kate Moss’ iconic pink hair in a campaign with a markedly nostalgic nature.

Pink hair that caused such a sensation back in 1998

In the campaign, which has the Turkey Phone Number List motto “Heaven by Marc Jacobs”, Kate Moss once again shows off the , although except for this particular aspect her style has little or nothing to do with that of Versace. Just at the start of the new millennium, the British model posed for Marc Jacobs for the first time (and the new campaign is a way to celebrate such a notable anniversary). In his new campaign, Marc Jacobs therefore clearly exploits the nostalgia that the fashion industry currently oozes from every pore. However, this time it is not Juergen Teller who is behind the camera but the London photographer Harley Weir.

Two classic bags from the American brand

Kate Moss appears in the campaign ASB Directory with platform heels, several denim garments and two classic bags from the American brand: “Bucket Pouch” and “J Marc.” Although mixed with nostalgia, the truth is that the pink hair that Kate Moss wears in the campaign is captivatingly current and is perfectly aligned with the “Barbiecore” style that is so successful on and off the catwalks. Marc Jacobs and Kate Moss certainly have more in common than a handful of photos for a campaign. This summer Kate Moss became creative director of Coca-Cola Light , a position that the American designer had previously held.
