Why do I get silent calls?
You might not think that call centers still call by picking up the phone. Today, call center calls travel via VoIP, or Voice over IP (in Italian Voice via Internet Protocol). In an outbound call center, operators call users by making outbound calls through management software. To avoid entering numbers with a telephone keypad, a specific technological process is used: the predictive dialer.
If the predictive dialer is poorly designed, poorly functioning, or set up too aggressively, it will send many more calls into circulation than it can handle. Operators medical reference applications cannot speak to the user, and the call remains on hold and silent until someone clears out the previous calls that the system has automatically routed.
Predictive dialer and silent calls
Predictive dialer is a technology present in most call center software. To understand if your predictive dialer is working properly you should analyze the results entered by the operators.

- you cannot make more than 3 “silent” calls for every 100 successful calls;
